Welcome, it's great to have you here!

Sports have been part of my life since childhood. After an intensive time in competitive sports, I found yoga to be a holistic instrument that is not characterized by performance and competition, but rather represents a sustainable, lifelong path to self-knowledge, mindfulness and transformation.

Since I first came into contact with yoga in India over 20 years ago, I have experienced many remarkable transformations on various levels. Yoga allows us to escape from our usual patterns of thinking, movement and breathing, towards greater awareness and thus the realization of the here and now, regardless of perfection or reaching certain postures.

My basic Yoga training was under the guidance of Baron Baptiste (USA) and I completed my Yin Teacher Training with Josh Summers. Since then I have attended numerous training courses and workshops, including a pranayama training with Stephen Thomas. My lessons are dynamic and powerful, but at the same time characterized by moments of stillness and relaxation. The physical exercises are accompanied by conscious breathing. I attach great importance to an inspiring atmosphere that is characterized by lightness and joy.

Breathing in, I calm body and mind. Breathing out, I smile.

Dwelling in the present moment I know this is the only moment.

YOGA STYLES

Hatha

The word "Hatha" is made up of the terms "sun" (ha) and "moon" (tha), which symbolize the polarities: male and female, left and right, day and night, activity and rest. The goal of Hatha Yoga is to bring these polarities into harmony to allow the mind to become calm and clear. The movements (asanas) are carried out slowly and gradually, always in connection with breathing. In addition, relaxation techniques, closures and seals (bandhas and mudras) as well as meditation are practiced. The lesson ends with a deep relaxation (Savasana).

Kriyas, pranayama

Kriyas are cleansing exercises in yoga that work on a physical, energetic and mental level and help to balance the energy centers (chakras). “Prana” means life energy in Sanskrit. Breath is our life energy. By consciously controlling breathing during pranayama, the autonomic nervous system and the subtle energy channels (Nadis) can be harmonized. Pranayama is often considered the key to increasing vital energy, improving breathing capacity, calming the mind and increasing concentration

Meditation (Dharana, Dhyana)

Meditation (Dhyana) allows us to delve into the depth of our own being and allows us to access our patterns and conditioning. Concentration (Dharana) on breathing or an object can be helpful in order to focus the mind and calm our thoughts.

Vinyasa

Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic and flowing form of yoga in which movements are synchronized with breathing. “Vinyasa” means something like “movement in connection with the breath” in Sanskrit. The continuous flow of movement and breathing helps to create a kind of meditative state and promotes concentration and presence.

Yin yoga

Yin Yoga is characterized by a calm, meditative practice and focuses on stretching and relaxing the body, thereby promoting stress reduction and inner balance.  In contrast to other yoga styles that activate and strengthen the muscles, Yin Yoga primarily works with the connective tissue, fascia and joints. The characteristics of Yin Yoga are a long holding time for the individual positions (3 to 5 minutes or longer), passive stretching, if the positions are held for longer (3-5 minutes or more), conscious use of aids (blocks, blankets, etc.) .

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra, also known as “yogi's sleep”, is a form of meditation and deep relaxation with the aim of calming the body and mind through prathyahara (withdrawal of the senses) and achieving deep relaxation.
